A place for communication and the exchange of knowledge

The Deutsche Technikmuseum invites the visitor to take part in a fascinating and exciting discovery tour through the cultural history of technology. It is located at a central traffic junction near Potsdam Square - the "Gleisdreieck" on the historic premises of the Anhalt freight station. The spacious museum park with wind and water mills, forge and brewery is a natural oasis right in the middle of the city. A candy bomber at the front of the new building has become an internationally known landmark. The museum attracts half a million visitors annually.

With its exhibitions, the museum has made a name for itself as a recognised and independent high-profile educational establishment. It actively shapes the political and scientific debate on the role of technology and science in modern societies by organising lectures, symposia and congresses.
